The thirtieth edition of WAO Song Contest took place in the city of Reykjavík, situated on the Nordic island country of 
Iceland.
Reykjavík, the city which hosted the 29th edition of the contest
The venue selected has been the Harpa concert hall and the presenter selected Björk and Gréta Salóme. "Find your Strength" has been the slogan, "Circles" by Lensko, the theme song.

The Big three of this edition have been Iceland, 
Sweden and 
Uganda, with three semi-finals taking place and 8 countries qualifying from each one of them. The songs that arrived 9th had a "Second Chance" to make it to the final. 28 countries competed in the grand final.

Thanks to Loïc Nottet and his "Mud Blood" Belgium achieved its second victory, after the one in the 22nd edition. Fun fact: Loïc Nottet was the artist who arrived 1st in the 22nd edition.
