The venue selected was the Anfield stadium and the presenters were Calum Scott and the two winners of WAO Song Contest for United Kingdom: Birdy and Ellie Goulding. The slogan was "Conquer your Fears" and the song "Stranded" by Ship Wrek & Zookeepers has been selected as theme song of the edition.

United Kingdom, because of has won the last edition, passed automatically in the final and also Spain and Portugal, because of be arrived second and third in the last edition, passed automatically in the final. 3 semi-finals took place and 8 countries qualified from each semi-final. The songs that arrived 9th had a "Second Chance". 28 countries qualified for the grand final.
