Zain Javadd Malik (known as Zayn) is an 
English singer with 
Pakistani roots. He joined the contest in the 12th edition, participating for his country of origin with his song "Pillowtalk", qualifying and placing 8th in the final. He returned in the 27th edition, but this time for 
Australia and with the Australian singer Sia. Their song "Dusk Till Dawn" qualified from the semi-final and arrived 16th in the final. His last participation so far has been in the 4th Special edition with Taylor Swift for Pakistan. They sang "I Don’t Wanna Live Forever" but failed to qualify, placing 9th in the semi-final.
The songs the singer Zayn presented to the contest are (in alphabetical order): "Dusk Till Dawn", "I Don’t Wanna Live Forever" and "Pillowtalk".
He is also a former member of the British and 
Irish group One Direction.
